15th MED Bn., 1st Air Cav. from 12\'67 to 12\'68."
Ron KILLINGSWORTH retmiagt@aol.com e-mailed, "Dear Mike, I was
assigned to 191st MI and stationed at FSB Mace, Gia Ray, somewhat near
Xuan Loc, from April '71 to March '72. There was a MEDEVAC station on the
firebase. Part of my job was to interrogate wounded enemy brought into
the firebase by MEDEVAC. We would interrogate them while the doctors and
Medics worked on them. They were very cooperative. We sent the
intelligence information back out to the unit that was in contact with
the enemy. I was a Vietnamese linguist and some of the Medics used to go
with me into the local village and perform first aid to some of the needy
villagers, mostly mountain people who had been relocated there. There was
also a 15th MED dentist-we called him 'Painless'-assigned to the
firebase and he used to hang out at our hooch. I also took him down to
the local village and he pulled teeth on the hood of my jeep.
"I
would like to contact some of those great 15th MED people who served at
FSB Mace at the same time I was there. I can not remember any names, time
has taken its toll on my memory. I looked at your Website and thought of
leaving a message on the forum but did not know about non-members doing
that. I usually attend the 1st Cav Assn. Reunion and will be at Fort
	Hood in June.
"If you can help me locate and contact any 15th MED
from FSB Mace, I would appreciate your efforts. I was a career soldier
and retired in '84 as a CW3. My last duty assignment was with the 1st Cav
(312th MI Bn) at Fort Hood, from '82 to '84, which made me a 'Cav
sandwich.' Best wishes in the New Year, Chief KILLINGSWORTH-I was the
Special Agent in charge of the 191st MI Det. Counterintelligence and IPW
	Detachment at FSB Mace."

MED Association and myself, I wish everyone a Happy New Year. May we all
have attainable New Year resolutions and as COL DOWNEY put it, 'Insure
that we continue to keep each other in our daily prayers, and keep in
touch throughout the year...best wishes always."
 Always
